I'm now in two weigh loss challenges, one online and one at work. I guess this makes me more accountable as now I have to record weigh ins on Tuesdays and Fridays. Last week was beyond hectic so I didn't record Friday's weigh in, which was up a few pounds so I'm below where I was before things got so hairy. I am finally within five pounds of what I was when I started this new job in August 2013. The job was a better job, but one that I knew included more hours and deadlines. I've finally got a good feel of when my hectic times are and I can adjust exercise accordingly so I'm pretty close to having off the almost 30 pounds I gained since I've started - YAY!

Next week I embark on a cross country road trip so we shall see what the scale holds when I return home. I really don't want to annihilate my diet, but also don't want to miss out on experiences in places that I will not be visiting again any time soon :)

I went low carb this week (well low carb for someone addicted to carbs, not 'actual' low carb, I mean come on, who doesn't love bread and pasta?!?! ) I'm happy with a 1.4 pound loss but it's gets frustrating because even though I've still got a ways to go, I'm fairly fit and it just gets harder and harder to lose. Gone are the days of the occasional weeks of losing a 5 spot :(., but I guess that's a good thing!

I mix things up on the exercise front and have really taken to liking PiYo. I prefer to workout at group exercise classes because they're just so much fun but I find the busier I get and when I travel, I needed to find an option other than group exercise and PiYo is it. Takes no equipment so it travels easy and there's seven or 8 different DVDS in the set so you don't get bored. A BIG bonus is the longest one is 45 minutes, but most average 30-35 minutes. Sometimes I simply don't have an hour a day to devote to working out. Great for anyone with some physical limitations too - someone is always shown modifications. Sorry if it sounds like a sales pitch, but it's not, I don't work for Beachbody - I simply took a live PiYo class, fell in love with it and purchased the at home version, and I have used it more than anything at home exercise product I've ever bought in the past.
