I've been trying to lose weight for a couple of years now because diabetes runs in the family and I want to try and keep anything I can at bay for as long as possible. Also, I want to be confident in who I am. I know that shouldn't be tied up so much in my weight but I feel as though being at an "ideal" weight would make me feel that much more confident in myself.
In December 2010 I lost 5lbs in 1 month which is not my biggest or fastest weight loss but I realized by increasing my activity I managed to lose that weight. As part of my weight loss routine, I now do bikram yoga 3 times a week and weight training once a week. It's a low-medium intensity routine that I'm hoping will help me lose weight slowly and keep it off by the end of April 2011.
