YIPPEE SKIPPEE I hit my goal weight! OMG! I was feeling different -then MON I was bugged bc my new size 6 jeans, fresh out of the dryer, were HUGE (But there is a BIG difference in size from a 6 and a 4). So I went to old navy and grabbed a size 4 (was feeling like THIS was going to be a total waste of time and cloth stretching) when they went right up and ZIPPED UP! AND I could breath and sit down! OMG! I was so thrilled.
If you have read my prior blogs you may remember that my entire adult life I was a size 2...then I got really really sick. I still stayed a size 2 but all of a sudden in 1 month I gained 25 pounds! No tests could come up with anything...and I wasn't on any new meds.
So, I have been "playing" with fat smash on and off for 2 years...finally whenI joined her I GOT SERIOUS. I still can't do the same amt of exercise that the book suggests (I am up to 40 min of cardio 3x a week - and I add some weight machines now).
The thing is...even though I am not 108, and a 4 not a 2, I look much better (bc of the exercise) AND my body is much healthier the lupus and RA are in remission...
I am so happy - I wish you ALL had been in the dressing room Mon - it was TOO FUNNY! Then I went home and weighed on Wed and was blown away! Wlw...bc I had been plateau'd at 122 for months...then I dropped bam, 118, bam 115!
So, don't hate me...use this to believe that if it can work for me IT WILL WORK FOR YOU!
Thanks for all the support

FINALLY! I broke my month plus long plateau of 122 pounds! I had been pushing at the gym, and physically VERY busy. I had noticed my body changed - I am in a size 6 but they are all BIG (But not in a 4 yet!).
So I quit weighing myself...which is why I haven't checked in for a while. Then yesterday I weighed myself (expecting to see that i had gained weight - you know, all those "magical beliefs" that if I weigh myself all the time it will some how "control the scale" - what is pathetic about that for ME is I am a shrink, and honestly, I DO know better!) and there it was 118! I was sooooo happy.
So ladies, gentlemen, and people of all sizes...stick to it. I am 3 pounds away from my goal. I could have never done it with out this program (and reading the inspiring words of all of you!).

GRRRR hit a plateu - been at the same weight for weeks. I am working out hard, but not hard enough I guess. I am still in a size 6 (which is good) so I may have to stop reading the scale and focus on my size (but, I forgot to take measurements in the beginning - you know the infamous fear of the measuring tape - almost as bad as the FEAR OF THE NUMBER ON THE SCALE!

UGH premenstrual...puffy, willing to sell my poodles for chocolate, and no WEIGHT LOSS! But...no weight gain even with a few cheats (like a small piece of chocolate cake last night for my 13 yr olds birthday!) which says a lot about this food plan. If you stray, the weight loss stays! LOL
Still working out - about 45 min of cardio and adding wt machines - but I am NOT doing it as many days as I should (bc of SLE and RA - they are much better but I don't want to push it).

Well...I lost another pound this week! And I have increased my exercise-up to 43 min of cardio (still using the bike and eliptical - I break up how many min for each to trick my body) and I have been really pushing the machines this week - low wt higher reps.
The size 6 jeans I bought last week are BIG! I can't even believe it (but I am too afraid to try on a 4 - there is a BIG difference between a 4 and a 6). My goal is 115 - so if I continue to lose 1 pound a week (which is a safe amount) I might hit it my the end of the summer!
I saw my internist yesterday and she was SHOCKED! She said I looked so good - not just the weight but she said my face looked calm. I told her since I was on the retuxin my RA/Lupus was in remission and I wanted to get back to working (I haven't worked in over 5 years as a shrink bc I have been too sick) so she took a handful of cards! I am going to need business for the new clothes (although if I hit a size 4 - a true 4 - I have a closet full of very nice things that need a bit of dusting!).
Oh, I made a huge leap of faith and joined my gym for a year (I have been paying for a 20 visit punch card) so this shows my brain and my body that I expect to be a PERMANENT healthy member of the rec center community (and the "I'm getting buff by the day" community!).
