Weekend was awesome, wedding was awesome, but I'm not recording my food intake since I'm pretty sure saturday was in excess of 3,000 and I'm in denial. I've been eating like crap for a few days b/c I didn't want to go grocery shopping since I'll be away the rest of the week.

Tomorrow is the big day.... the move to California for the BF. Our flight is at 10am, so we need to catch a 7:30 train to the airport. We started making some plans for the week - we're going to try to do a twilight deep sea fishing tour one night, a wine tasting trolley tour another day, and hit the beach (I'll be at the beach while he's at work). I'm definitely going to try to squeeze some beach WOD's in, which I'm excited about! I emailed a local crossfit about dropping in for a WOD, but I haven't heard back from them :( Maybe I'll try giving them a call tomorrow once we land.

No Crossfit tonight - the whole gym is going out to the Phillies game, so classes are cancelled. BUT, this means I can go running for the first time in over a month!! I'm actually rather excited. I'm curious to see how my fitness levels compare to what they were before now that I've been crossfitting.

Also, I'm considering taking the plunge and trying the Paleo diet once I return from Cali... Lindsay, I know you've been doing it. Any tips??

My. Legs. Are. SORE!!! Yesterday's workout was really really tough. I made it to the 6:30 class instead of 7:30 since there was no traffic, and I really liked it. There were only 6 people in the class, and 3 coaches, so we got lots of personal attention. I really liked being able to work one on one with some of the coaches to get pointers on my techniques and such. Plus, they were SUPER encouraging the whole class.

Today is another long 10.5 hour work day. Blah. Just chugging out some work. Tonight I'm going to meet up with two friends in the city for dinner & drinks at a Steven Starr rooftop bar, which I'm SO excited about. They serve tapas plates so we'll get to try lots of stuff.

BF is on his way up to NY for the long weekend, so I'll have the night to myself. His bike (birthday present!) just got delivered this morning so I'll assemble it tonight.

Heading up to NY tomorrow after a short work morning, and then I get to play golf with my dad, BF and his dad! It should be a ton of fun. I'm going to try to fit in a workout at the local CrossFit on Saturday morning :) After that, we're heading to Long Island for his college friend's wedding!

Busy couple of days coming up, but that's the way I like it!

Thanks for all the positive thoughts on yesterday's journal, everyone :) I really appreciated it. I wound up having a mini meltdown last night after my volleyball game. I've been putting on a happy face way too much and saying everything will be just fine, when I'm really terrified out of my mind. I know I'll be feeling like this a lot the next few weeks, so I just have to accept it and deal with it.

Stepped on the scale this morning, and boy was that a slap in the face!!! 144.8??? WHAT?? I've been leveling out lately at about 140.5 so I was shocked to see a 4 lb jump. But then I thought about it logically - It's about 24 hours away from TOM, and in addition to that, I Probably haven't pooped in 48 hours, which means all that deliiiicious Chick Fil A and other meals is just sitting in my intestines like a heavy brick. Either way, it's a nice way to light a fire under someone's butt.

CROSSFIT TODAY! Thank god. I'm going to work extra hard today. Here's the workout:

Wod # 1

15 Minutes to find your 1 rep max Thruster
Once you build to a 1 rep max take 75% of the number and perform 7 sets of 2

This total piece will be 25 minutes

Wod #2

5 toes to bar

After Party- 300 hello dollies

Today is going to be a killer. But, I have all day to mentally prepare! Is anyone else dealing with 100+ degree heat and horrid humidity?

ALSO, today is my 1 year anneversary of being a working girl. And I managed to lose 12 pounds through it all :)

Hello again, long lost friends..

Not quite sure where to start. Lots has been going on lately. I've been keeping calories moderately in check, hence no weight loss, again. Just sort of stabilized in the 140-141 range. I haven't been making a conscious effort to lose though, so I can't complain.

Too many things to write down, and my thoughts are unorganized, so I'm just going to start listing things.

1. I've still been crossfitting 2x a week, and I'm still in love with it.
2. The BF moves to California in exactly 1 week from today.
3. I'm taking a week off from work, and flying out there with him next Tuesday
4. I'm going to drop into a CF box while I'm out in Cali, so I can make sure I get at least one good work out that week
5. My mood has been so 'blah' lately, understandably so. My energy level is way down, probably bc I've only been working out 2x a week.
6. I need to get running again, in addition to CrossFit. Why? BC my half marathon training starts in one month.
7. I'm feeling so down in the dumps. I know exactly why too. I'm getting so scared for BF to leave. Because of this, my eating and motivationg to eat well has gone to the crapper too.
8. This has led to a bad mentality, and more poor body image on my part.
9. Once BF leaves, I'll focus all of my negative energy towards working on myself and bettering my eating habits.

Admitting you're getting depressed is the first step, right?
