Day #9 of Grain Free "Lifestyle Change"

I'd say I'm doing pretty well so far! I've been trying my absolute hardest, and I've been very successful! It was really tough through the first 3-4 days or so, but now it seems to be 2nd nature already. I've found some awesome new websites and iPhone apps that have tons of 'paleo' and grain free recipes. I can't wait to try some of them!

I've really only slipped up a few times - I ate ate a package of peanut butter crackers on Saturday night when I was drunk, I had ravioli one night for dinner b/c I had NO other food, and I ate one super small baby fingerling potatoe last night. Not bad for a carb lover, in my opinion :)


Had our weekly volleyball game yesterday. WE'RE 15-0!! We're kicking some serious butt this season. I love it.

Crossfit tonight. Another awesome workout ahead of me... and lots of burpees!


Strength: Every Minute On The Minute (EMOTM) (10)
For 20 minutes

Perform(evens) 10 push press R/X 135/95, scaled 115/80 or as needed

Perform(odds) 5 STRICT Pull Ups (use bands as needed or do ring rows)

22 180 burpees
200 meter run
20 180 burpees
200 meter run
18 180 burpees
200 meter run
we will wait for everyone to be finished and then do the next WOD

Metcon 2: Plank Hold (Time)
Perform a plank for Max Time

once you drop you will do Air Squats until the last person in class drops

My weight has been fluctating all over the place since I started this 'diet.' I'm not quite sure what to think. I started out at 142.0 on a Wednesday, and by Saturday morning I was weighing in at 137.4. However, I was extremely hungover and dehydrated, which I'm thinking has a lot to do with it. Now I'm back to 140.0 this morning. But it's almost TOM.... hmm. We shall see where my weight goes in the next few days! I'm curious.

I'm in a blue font kind of mood today. Blue is very soothing and calming.

Day #3. I did great last night! Had a FANTASTIC workout at cross fit. It was intense. Here it was:

75 Thrusters (A pushpress w/ a squat) @ 45# (60% of your max, 5 thrusters every minute for 15 minutes)
Rest 5 minutes
5 minutes Kettlebell swings @ 26.5#
4 minutes straight let situps
3 minutes KB swings
2 minutes straight leg situps
1 minute KB swings -- For a total of 266 reps
Rest 3 minutes
30 burpees
300 m run
30 burpees -- Time of 8 minutes and 20 seconds

Killer workout. I was completely spent before we even started the burpees. I have that nice, total body sore feeling. Not too sore, but just enough to know you got an awesome workout in. I love that :)

Diet has been going decently well. Despite the fact that I ate the entire burger and strawberry shake yesterday, which neither was too big, I still managed to drop 2 pounds! Most likely just a fluctuation, but hey, I'll take it.

I have my house to myself this weekend - roommate is gone for her sisters birthday. I have high hopes of getting lots of stuff done!
- Finish unpacking all of my stuff from moving
- All of my laundry from my California trip
- Sell this ugly shelf unit on craigslist
- Pick up new patio furniture I got on craigslist
- Organize my cookbook - Like Diane said!
- Go for TWO runs this weekend
- Play softball on Sunday with my team, finally
- Skype date with BF :)
