Just want to lose around 20lbs so i can fit back into my favorite clothes again.
My husband and I started watching what we eat. No chips, minimal bread, no beer (during the week), no coffee (for me) in the morning, plenty of water or Crystal Light during the day. For snacks i eat dried apricots and fruit. I have a low thyroid, so that makes it tougher for me to lose..
Here's what I've tried:
LCHF - hate it, does not work unless you religiously stick to it. I get tired of meat, cheese and eggs all the time. and the alcohol part is the worst. Hey, i like to partay on the weekend! Also something about loading up on fat does not make me feel that good..

Herbalife - ya it works, BUT....you have to religiously go to the gym and eat salads for dinner. I lost 65lbs on it. Went from 210lbs to 165lbs in a year, spent 3-4 days a week in the gym. I really looked good but i was also single, out shopping for a man...and well...you know the story... Now, got older, re-married (ya found the love of my life - LUCKY ME!), life's good and gained weight..damit.

So ya, my weight loss - gain story in a nutshell. To be honest, i dont want to deprive myself, but yet i want to feel good in my skin (dont want too much of it either..ugg)

Low Carb Diet, ugg how do i get there!!
Thanks Lexus! Ya, i am trying to follow somewhat from dietdoctor but have no idea what to eat other than sausage sticks, cheese sticks, scrambled eggs with cheese, more cheese and tuna salad..uggg

what is a typical lunch or breakfast that you all eat?

Low Carb Diet, ugg how do i get there!!
So I started a low carb, high fat diet. Did ok first week, with no weight gain. Messed up this last weekend and had buns and cake at a bday party! YIKES! what was i doing?? uggg...
Anyway, back up a couple pounds.

What is the secret with LCHF diet? I want to know how to eat on a daily basis, any help, ideas or advice would help!

Let me know what you all do for this too!!

Looking for a buddy!
Hello All! I just started this website today and I will say it is awesome! I work in I.T. at our local Hospital as a User Support person. I walk a fair amount back and forth throughout the hospital repairing computers, software and other devices but my weight stays the same. I basically eat what I want, when I want. I need to stop this! I weigh around 210 now and would like to get down to 175 (my ideal weight when in the Navy). I just want to fit into nice clothes! That is my main goal! Also to feel and look better. So if anyone has started today and wants a buddy let me know - Very Happy
