Been eating too much with my decreased exercise due to the tendon replacement on my right Achilles tendon and all the time it took to get the surgery done and recovery. Getting more active now that summer is here and my son gone to camp...and me taking care of all the animals and mowing, gardening etc.

got to do it in the a.m. early and the p.m. late...temps are 100 nearly but 105 heat index. Whew, wish I could move to lake Tahoe NV for the summer...when I win the lotto I will..guess I would have to buy a ticket to win though, and the odds are too bad, so guess I'll be stuck in Arkansas in the hot summers.

I AM sticking to my 1000 mg or less low sodium diet though and my feet are no longer swelling, and even the taste of salt iin my diet is offensive.

I can cook about anything now, including tacos and chili by using low sodium spices and potassium chloride...ny next project is low sodium jerky. Already mastered low sodium pork sausage....life without pork sausage is not worth living...of course LOW FAT home grown meat.

Low fat grass fed beef and deer meat....onward and upward, or downward as the case may be...back on the lower calorie diet. Starting today.

Made the first batch of the low sodium Frontier Spice meals...added chicken and frozen peas. It was rather bland, I added also salt and Cavendar's and it ended up about like my home made soup but that was okay. It said that 1 coup had 200 calories in it (an estimate) and a bit of sodium in the prepared soup but actually probably had fewer sodiums than they said. No way to really list it on the meals I think, though I will check.

I had 2 cups and 10 sprinknle of salt crackers. Probably about 500 cal
I had 1 cup (100 cal) of apple sauce and 4 tbs of flax seed about 200 cal total
1 oz almonds and 3 prunes 150 cal & 100 cal
for lunch I had some egg salad and 10 crachers. probably 500 cal or so.

Almost no sodium though. I don't have any edema at all in legs.

Was a bit constipated this morning so I upped the flax seed a bit today and drank more water.

Felt tired and took about an hour's nap this afternoon. Going outside for a bit of a walk in a little while now that the sun is down.
