I am 61. I have worked for Weight Watchers for 23 years, however,I got hurt on the job a year ago August 27th so I have been unable to work. Then due to pain pills, etc.I ended up with kidney failure the first of December. I have improved and am able to walk some with a cane now. Oh! I forgot, a year ago last February I ended up on oxygen 24/7. I do pulmonary rehab 2x a week and "shop" 2times a week for activity. I'm not driving yet so I am at the mercy of my family. My husband only works in our town during the summer so he will be leaving the end of August. Before the kidney failure my daughter and son-in-law and their kids did everything for me. When the kidney failure hit my son gave up his business in Chicago and moved back here to take care of me. So no matter what, God has truly blessed me. I'm not giving up. After all, God never gave up on me so I can't give up on myself. I'm getting stronger. I haven't fallen for 3 weeks and I was falling 2-3 times a week. I know what I need to do to lose the weight and yet for health reasons I can't do it like I did for 25 years.
I live in the same town I grew up in. As a matter of fact, I live in the home I grew up in. When my Daddy passed away my husband and I bought it from my brothers. It is so comforting for me and my 2 kids. I have 8 grandkids with one being deceased. The oldest will be 24 and the youngest is 9. My husband retired from the Carpenters Local. Now he contracts out as a scaffold specialist....designing and cost.
