Lost so far: 30.0 lb

Current Weight

Performance: gaining 1.0 lb a week

Goal Weight
135.0 lb
Still to go: 15.0 lb
I am 44 (cringe) and have 4 children 20, 17, 15, and 13 years old. I am working full-time as an accountant and full time as a chauffeur, maid and chef (to the previously mentioned kids and husband). Needless to say, I eat a lot on the run/and or make something quick and easy . . . but not necessarily healthy. Looking forward to at least getting my weight down into the right height/age weight range. I am sick of clothes not fitting and feeling frumpy when out delivering/watching my kids.

Fat/Carb/Protein breakdown and food advice
I agree with you Runesinger I kind of screwed up with the auto percentages above (terrible - I work with numbers all day!). It should be 50/30/20. I don't do those percentages either. When I look back at my diet calender my carbs hover around 180-200, while my fat is less than what the 50/30/20 percentages say it should be. I go by what I listed as my goals for fiber, water, protein, etc. and that has worked for me! But the calculator at least gave me a place to start. . .

Fat/Carb/Protein breakdown and food advice
one thing I like to eat as a snack are the cheese heads light string cheese sticks (60 calories and 8 grams of protein in each).

i have found a site "ask the dietitian" that has a calorie calculator on it - www.dietitian.com/calcbody.php.
It lets you enter in your weight info, how much you want to loose per week (1lb, 2lb, maintain) activity level, and other stuff. At the end it will tell you how many calories you need to stay around in order to meet your goal. It will also tell you how much fiber, protein, carbs etc. based on a 50/20/20 goal (carbs, protein, fat). But if you don't like that mix of carbs to protein to fat you can change it also.

For me I try to make my fiber goal (25g), my protein goal (at least 60g), at least 5 veggies and fruits, under 2400mg of sodium, and finally drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. If I meet the aforementioned goals I don't really pay too much attention to the carbs (unless they get really high). So far so good as I have been averaging the last few weeks 1.5 to 2lbs of weight loss per week.

Hope you find the right mix for you!

i don't really know but here is some stuff on what I found (not to scare you). Note I am not a doctor nor do I pretend to be. I googled insect bite with red streaks here are a couple of links www.seattlechildrens.org/medical-conditions/symptom-index/insect-bites/

and http://pediatrics.about.com/cs/safetyfirstaid/a/dnt_lt_bugs_bte_3.htm

I don't know if trails and streaks are the same thing? .. .

Good Luck!
