I will be 30 in August. I have been chubby since I was 12 and FAT since I was about 16. Some of that I can place blame. I had thyroid cancer and didn't know for about 10 years. So I basically had no metabolism all through puberty plus I had mild depression, my parents were separating...I had no metabolism and ate when I was stressed. Still do. When I got married in 2005 I was around 215lbs. Fat bride. Not obese just fat. But since 2 kids, loss of my job and other stress I've gained 30lbs. I have gone up and down a little, down 10 up 5, up 6 down 12...cycle. I'm sure you all know...but a few weeks ago I stopped fitting into my favorite skirt. Time to change. I booked a vacation for myself to go to Ohio and see my best friend. My flight is November 1st. I have vowed to loose 15lbs or more by then and keep loosing after. I have started on my elliptical and walking my dog again EVERY NIGHT! I added in a toning DVD every other day. I am watching my carbs/sugar intake. 99% getting rid of fast food...I NEED some fries every now and again...and upping my water intake. I am going to weigh myself on the 15th and 30th of each month. Wish me luck! Anyone with thyroid issues feel free to share or ask questions. Knowledge is power.

Thyroid Issues Anyone?!?
To be blunt, I have no thyroid. I have had thyCancer and now I'm fat. Don't get me wrong I got myself into most of this situation but the thyroid thing doesn't help. Having basically no metabolism isn't so great for an already "kinda chubby" girl...haha. So now my ultimate goal is to be 175lbs. 150 is what I'm "supposed" to be for my height but I have been over 200 since about a year after HS. I busted my knee, lost my job as a waitress and then put on some weight, got cancer, got depressed put on some weight. Got married lost some weight. Got preggers 2 times...gained 40lbs, here I am sitting at between 245 and 250 everyday.
So I'm here asking if anyone else is low thy or no thy and has any advise? I'm already on a higher levothroxine dose so I can't really go much higher. I could use ALL the advise you have. Thanks to all in advance!

What's your workout?
Right now I do 10 mins of elliptical. cause Its all I can do. I've had knee surgery and cancer, but I'm good now so it's time to burn it up!!! Look for a modified post in 2 weeks about my routine as it will be MUCH more intense!!
