Performance: losing 1.2 lb a week

Goal Weight
143.3 lb
Still to go: 29.8 lb
Im 20 years old, from Northern Ireland. Im 5ft 3" and my starting weight was 79kg / 174lbs. I knew I was a bit over weight and have a naturally curvy figure, but thought nothing of it, ate alot of junk food, drank alot of alcohol and did zero exercise. Since the end of 2012, my clothes have been getting tighter and tighter, and it was getting me down to the point of not going out because of it. At the end of August I had one of those life defining moments when you see pictures of yourself looking great in the past, and then look in the mirror and think "OMFG.. how did this happen!?" Enough was enough. This had to end before it started affecting my health.

So now I am on a mission, and theres nothing going to stop me.. I'm hoping to lose 10kg / 22lbs in the next 8-10 weeks and tone up, followed by another 3-5kgs after I reach that goal. I want to then maintain that weight & stay healthy.

Tips for combating late night snacking..
I've been watching what I eat and exercising every day for almost 2 weeks now and have cut my calories in half. I was doing so well but this past few nights I have felt soo hungry at night and gone and grabbed crisps or made toast.. carbs that I really dont need, but how can I stop the hunger?? Its not like im starving myself, I drink lots of water, I'm eating healthy lunches & dinners and fruit for a snack early evening but its just not cutting it.. Any tips would be great.

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred
Yeah mars2kids, I've got ripped in 30.. watched level 1 and it looks alot harder, but hopefully once I've completed 30DS I'll be ready for it. I will definitely be glad to see the back of 30DS level 1, its getting a bit tedious and alot easier (day 8 complete).

Did an extra hours cardio earlier so I think I'll sleep tonight lol! I've been keeping calories at 1200 tops & drinking loads of water too which is probably helping.. before I was eating alot of crap and take-outs with zero exercise.

Well done mcnole, your doing loads.. weight training of any sort isn't easy. Think your right in changing things up a bit.. keeps it interesting.. I'll do that after 30DS and RI30 are done and I'm alot more capable. Keep it up guys!

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred
Anyone else out there doing the 30 day shred? I'd love to hear from others doing it or those that have done it for some motivation.

Tomorrow is level 1 day 8 for me and so far I've dropped 1kg and 1 inch off my waist. Not bad for week one and I'm feeling good Smile

I'm adding in an extra couple of hours cardio this week as well to see if it helps to make a difference.

Feel free to post your results here and anything else you did alongside in your diet etc that you would recommend if you have already completed it.
