Hi...It's August 2012, time to get serious for real.

I'm 55, mother of 2 gorgeous girls & grandmother of 3 beautiful granddaughters. I've been divorced 17 years, and am currently single. I let myself go in all ways and now must do some serious damage control.

I live in Phoenix, Az where it is really hot. Want to move to greener pastures for retirement, but stuck at present. The mild winters however do make for pleasant outdoor activities.

My weight has been an issue since I was 6 and completed 2 years of corticosteroids for a mysterious ailment, possibly transverse myelitis. There were 3 times that I dieted down to a nice size (10) but it always came back with gusto++. A year ago I was at top weight abt 280 and totally ashamed of myself.

I'm determined to get healthy, fit, and not spend the rest of my life alone, fat, and unhappy. I work out at the gym 3 days a week, am getting back into bowling, and eating the best I know how.

This site is a miracle, and you all are truly inspirational. I feel blessed each time I log in. I need some buddies, so send me a request and we'll help each other along our journeys.

MINI GOALS (hate that word):

Birthday 9/27/2012 - - - 210 (60 pounds lost, halfway to end goal)
Reward: Just bought it - 2 Polaris quads & a trailer!

New Year's Eve ’12 - - - 195 (revised to 185) WEIGHT 178!!!!
Reward: Get to wear the awesome top I just couldn't resist buying even though it was way too small. With my new boots, I'll be hot!

Late spring 2013 - - - 180 (revised to 175)(revised to 165)
Reward: Trip to Northern Ireland to do genealogical research on a family that I 'adopted' (long story). This time I won't be asking for a seat belt extender.

Late Sept 2013 - - - 165 (revised to 160)(revised to 155)
Reward: I'll be turning 57 and will no longer be fat and out of shape. Maybe have a boyfriend/lover/mate?

New Year's Eve ’13 - - - 150 (revised to 140??)
Reward: Boob lift (& tummy tuck?)

Cimaen, that would be a great idea! An actual interactive graph of your body outline that would get smaller as you input your new measurements.

You're not stupid, it took me a while to find it. Go to your my fatsecret main page. On the right is a link for your 'signature'. There you can choose the tracker.
