Running Injuries
Sorry for the late response! But I finally went to a few orthopedists and had an MRI done and apparently I have an inflamed Achilles Tendon, so most of the pain is in the back part of my ankle and it hurts randomly throughout the day. It sometimes radiates into other parts, I think, because I had a stress fracture a few years ago. Hope youre feeling better

Running Injuries
So Im not new to running related injuries; 2 years ago I had stress fracture in my ankle that lasted for several months because of a mis-diagnosis. A few weeks ago I started feeling ankle pain on the same side that I think was from over-doing it during a run. It was never swollen or bruised but still felt like a dull ache and the pain would change to different areas around my ankle. Ive been icing it a few times a day and doing some of the stretches my physical therapist had taught me a few years back and I just bought a brace for it today. Some days it seems to get better, other days it seems to get worse and I havent been running. Does anyone have suggestions to speed the recovery or know how long I should try to heal it myself before seeing a doctor? Please help!

Weather changes
So as April is coming to an end, summer weather is starting. Which has actually been causing some problems. I usually prefer to get my exercise in at the gym, just because they have all the equipment I like to use, I can measure my running, and I can go despite any weather. Although I usually spend more time outside during the summer. However, it's been getting pretty warm, around 80 degrees over the past week, along with a good amount of humidity and rain. And sadly, I can still feel the change in weather at the gym. Even inside its still warmer and humid, which makes running a lot more difficult for me. My allergies plus the humidity make it hard for me to breathe and Ive noticed Ive been sweating a heck of a lot more while running on the treadmill, even with my regular intervals. Does my body just need to get used to the change in weather, and do I actually benefit from it if its harder for me?

Holiday food
So the holiday season has pretty much started, and Im starting to get a little nervous. Ive worked pretty hard to get where I am now, and I dont want it to be ruined over break. But with Christmas come all the parties, baking, and holiday food.

My roommates already bought boxes of candy canes and a huge platter of oh-so-tempting Christmas cookies. Also, when I get home from college, my mom already has a day planned for baking. My friends have a party set up to exchange cookies instead of buying each other gifts. AHHHH!!!! I usually dont have a problem when it comes to buying healthy food and I can resist buying junk, but when someone offers it to me or if its constantly sitting in front of me...I can rarely hold out.

Does anyone have any advice for holiday eating?? Luckily I'll be able to go to the gym a lot but my will power gets a little weak around this time
