I have been slacking off on my diet. I have too many things going on right now to be focused on my weight. My daughter's sick, and they still don't have a real diagnosis. My mom lives with me and has mixed dementia & Alzheimer's disease and is getting really out of control, and I am torn as to whether or not it's time for continued care.
My husband had two stroke last fall,and is still making his way back to something near normal, not there yet but making headway.
I have been working 40+ hours weekly split between two clinics, and needing cervical surgery myself.
So my focus just hasn't been what it should be. Someday I just want to sit down and cry. Then I think your a big girl, and big girls don't cry suck it up and march on soldier. So I will get back on wagon and get my focus back, it just isn't going to be today.

Sincerely;

Not drowned yet :)

I haven't lost a pound, my hap wellness check was a mess. My A1C was up to 8.5 I don't know what I'm doing wrong. This is a normal day for me: Breakfast, 1 packet of cream of wheat, with 2 spenda sweeter, 1/4 of English walnuts, and 1/2 teaspoon country crock, 1 10 oz of coffee with 2 splenda. and sugar free French vanilla creamer.
Lunch: 2 cups raw veggies like cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers with low fat ranch dressing for dipping only. 3 slices oven roasted turkey breast, 1 wedge laughing cow cheese, and 3-8 crackers depending on the type and calorie per serving, 12 oz. Sobe water.
Dinner: generally is light like 1/4 baked or slow cooker chicken breast, 1/2 cup brown rice, fresh or frozen veggies, cup of decaf hot tea. Snack: Popsicle, or popcorn, cracker-cheese pack. My general calorie intake for the day is around 900-1200 calories. I don't get to exercise like I should but I generally average 7-10,000 steps per day at work. I just don't understand what else I can do. Any suggestions??

This 1.6 lbs is not so bad considering I just returned from a 7 day cruise. With free meals of every type plus snacks 24/7. Cruising is not for dieter, it is a food mecca. At home I never eat desert after dinner, but I did for 7 days, and I have to admit I loved every bite.
I think my lack of weight gain is due to the amount of walking I was doing among other activities like swimming, hiking, and dancing. If I had been as disciplined on th ship as I am here at home with my calorie counting. I beleive I would have lost some weight. I don't feel so bad my girlfriend that went with us gained 5.3 lbs, not that you can tell she always looks great.
There come a time in every dieters life where you need time to just let loose your inner demons to have, fun and that is just what I did. As with everything there comes an ending, and back to real life again, so I'm back on the wagon and pushing through these pounds. I'm exercising a little more. However I must admit it was real hard to come back to this cold snowy weather, from warm beaches and sunshine. A girls got to do what a girls got to do!
