I'm a 25 year old working professional. I have been overweight my entire life, literally. I am 5' 7" and at my heaviest, in 2010 I was 245. I started low-carbing in the spring of that year, and ended up getting down to 215. I stalled for a long time, but started losing again in January of 2012. That year, my diet consisted of only 4 Atkins shakes and 3 Atkins bars per day. I didn't eat any "real food" for months, and even then would only have a day off (Easter, etc.) I lost about 25-30 pounds before being diagnosed with PCOS. I began taking metformin, my hormones have leveled out, but my weight has been STUBBORN! I admit my weight became too much of an obsession in the fall of 2012 and I began restricting to the point that I was eating even fewer bars and shakes, totaling only 700-800 calories a day. I was desperate to reach my goal weight of 179 by my birthday in November. After achieving that goal (!!!)I ate at Thanksgiving and Christmas, though, and gained 10 pounds quickly. Since that time, I have been unable to lose any weight I put on. So, between vacations, "cheat days," etc. I am up to between 197 and 202. I am trying to be extra extra careful with what I eat, without getting psycho obsessive again. I ultimately would like to weight 165, but anything below 180 is 100% acceptable.
