I'm a 53-year-old, married mother of four. I began my latest fitness quest on August 17th, 2014 at my highest weight ever, 295. (It took me a long time to own that number.) It's much harder for me to lose weight at this age than it ever was before, but I am certain I will succeed. One thing that finally seems to have sunk in is that I'm not married to a particular WOE. If something's not working quite well or has stopped working for some reason, I am open to tweaking or changing it completely instead of giving up.

So here's to a new year and each of us being our best selves!

Like DaFox said, you're doing great. But if I HAD to drop something, it would be the rice. On the Glycemic Index, it's the same as eating jelly beans. Again, though, a two pound loss per week is very good.
