I have followed my diet plan fairly well, rarely deviating from my regiment of breakfast, snack, and my main meal (dinner) being a "Body Wise" CHOCOLATE PROTEIN FRAPPE.
I have also continued to exercise 5-7 days a week, including a walk. On bad days, sometimes I could only manage a short walk around the block, but at least I did something.
As a result of these two things being a set part of my everyday lifestyle, I have continued to lose weight in all the right places. Finally I am near my goal!
At the doctor's office I weighed in at 158 lbs.! This is so pleasing to know, because I have gone off my diet to eat ice cream on several occasions and had expected to gain all that weight back. Yet I had only gained back a few lbs.
While I do fall off the diet on occasion, I always return to it after a few days or so, and that has a lot to do with the success I am having. I also write down everything I eat, every single day. So there is NO CHEATING on my part; I can see exactly what I am doing and how many calories I am consuming.
When I started all this, I was actually about 174 lbs., so today weighing in at 158 lbs. was a happy moment for me. It encourages me to go on for awhile longer too!
This may be my last entry. The next entry would be to say I have reached or surpassed my GOALl. I hope that is SOON.

Although I have faithfully stuck to my own diet these past months, when November arrived, I fell away from my rigid standards and my strict dieting menu.
My calorie intake increased by about 400, while my physical exercise and activities remained exactly as they were, or even perhaps a little less in the exercise category, due to extremely cold temperatures that suddenly began this week. It was actually -3 degrees (3 degrees below zero) which is unusual even for us here in WA! Cold and snow are fine by me, but I am not used to suddenly having below zero weather without having had our snowfall start up yet, for one thing!
I am trying to go back to my strict program, but Christmas is a couple weeks away and it's so hard. I haven't gone wild with my eating, but I have gained some of the weight back that I worked so hard to loose.
That makes me want to go back to being strict with myself; so I plan to begin doing that. But I won't beat myself up if I mess up. After all, it is Christmas only once a year, and I am not getting any younger.
If anyone is reading this, I hope you will take heart and be kind to yourself if you have slipped up on the holidays, as I have. That is why I wrote this for anyone to see. So you know you're not alone and it's not a big deal. Just get back to where you were as soon as possible and all will be well again.
Merry Christmas to you and your family and loved ones.
Margaret

My scale is slightly off, but I do set it to whatever the doctor's office states as my weight at my visit each time.
Last month I was 174 lbs. and didn't bother recording it here at FAT SECRET, because I knew I WOULD find a way to lose a few pounds even if I had to stop eating altogether.
Then I had the death of my dad and some other crisis and I lost a few pounds automatically. So I get no credit with my "dieting and exercise" programs for these lost pounds.
Tomorrow I go to the doctor, and I'll get an ACCURATE WEIGHT reading! I shall record that for sure. So October 11 I will have my newest/lowest weigh-in. (I hope so, anyhow.)
