gaining 0.6 lb a week

Starting a new week...this weekend we went to a party and so I banked my calories earlier in the day so it wouldn't be devastating to the diet...did really well and felt like I splurged...once I accounted for everything in FS it wasn't a big deal.
I really believe I can do this...I am able to eat real food in human sized portions and be satisfied...example tonight we had shrimp scampi with whole grain linguine and a small salad. I modified my recipe to make only two portions (me and the Wife) so there wouldn't be any temptation to overeat, using all fresh ingredients and it was the BOMB!!!

Week one in the books!!! I feel great and rarely felt like I was starving...smaller portions more often in conjunction with better choices seems to work. I'm sure this volume of weight loss is primarily due to ridding my colon of the constant barrage of junk food. I just need to keep my head in the game and focus on maintaining this new lifestyle...Yay Me!!!

losing 19.9 lb a week

Today I was ravenous so I made an epic chef salad...I couldn't even finish it at lunch so I'm having leftovers for dinner. No problems though I'm satiated and still under for my goals. Veggies, veggies, veggies...filling without the calories...I LOVE it!!!

I feel pretty good so far today. I had a reasonable breakfast and lunch with a couple snacks as well. Staying hydrated seems to be helping. I'm really looking forward to dinner...the fruits of my labor so to speak.
I really want this to be a life change so I'm striving to keep this sustainable. I really enjoy researching recipes and learning what's good versus bad. I'm gonna take a more active role in meal preparation, making healthier choices along the way. Jen and I both love fruits and veggies so increasing those and cutting the junk alone should start us in the right direction.
