I am 23 years old. I started my diet after Christmas in 2010. I decided that weighing 189 pounds was just too much, and I could tell. It was exhausting. So I decided not to go on a diet, but to make a life change. And that is just what I have done. Starting in May, I started running. At that point in time I was still 170 lbs. Running led to hip problems, so in August, I started a spinning class. It is now October, and I take a spin class 3 times a week... and I LOVE it. I am addicted to the cardio workout I get! My heart rate has fallen from 96 beats/minute down to 50 beats/minute. I honestly feel so much better! Good luck to all of you starting out. My goal still feels so far away.. but I have come so far and I know I can do it if I keep my eye on the prize!
