Welcome! Controlling your blood glucose is more important than losing weight if you want to become healthy. The weight will naturally come off if you get the diabetes under control. It's one of the great side effects of this way of eating! Look forward to seeing your progress. We can all succeed with a little support and encouragement and a will to get healthier! Good luck!

Transitioning from Atkins to Weight Watchers, Please help!
In my experience Atkins is the only way of losing weight without feeling hungry that I've found. I know people do well on Weight Watchers but once I add the carbs and "yummy" treats I'm hungry all the time and totally blow it. Sad to say but I can eat a dozen chocolate chip cookies at one sitting and still not be full. I do get full but not stuffed when I eat the low carb way AND I lose weight. I also have lots fewer cravings. It's all a matter of what works for you and how much you really want to lose weight and get healthier. Nothing works until you are ready for it to. Best of luck and I'll be happy to support you in whatever you choose. I just like seeing us all succeed!

I need some help...
I spent the week before I started making out my menus of everything including snacks that I would eat for the following week. It makes it easy to stay on track and you can either re-use the next week or modify a bit. It helps not to have to think about what to have every day and keeps me on track.
