I used to be extremely active and never really had to worry about my weight because I burned off all of my calories, so I ate pretty much what I wanted and didn't worry about it. Recently with my job getting busier and my kids getting a bit older and having more activities plus going through a divorce, I don't have as much time to work out as I used to. Even though I love healthy food, fast food and alcohol are weaknesses for me. I have come to realize that I cannot do fast food in moderation, so I need to stop eating it altogether, I believe it is truly addictive. This will be a challenge because, although I don't let my kids eat it all the time, I do want to let them have it occasionally. I simply want to be healthy and have more energy. I am going to start with eating, hopefully exercise will follow...

Today is big day, I will be cutting waaaay back on caffeine in the hopes of quitting it altogether soon! I always brushed off the notion that caffeine makes you feel hungrier, but last night after I had a snack I felt satisfied, but after drinking a diet Mountain Dew I got really hungry and blew it for the rest of the evening. So...I'm gonna give it a try and see what happens. Today I am replacing my coffee with tea to try and avoid a headache and NO diet soda. I really hope it works!
