Hi there! I'm Vicky and I have been on the Adkins diet since April of 2007. I have lost about 30 lbs and I feel great! I have been maintaining since September and am ready to get back on the wagon and lose about 25 lbs more. I wouldn't say that I am dieting anymore but that I have made a very comfortable life style change. It is generally easy to say no to carbs, and I do not have a difficulty finding things I like to eat. It is habit now to through out the bun of a chicken sandwich, or pass up chocolate cake, though I will indulge in a bite or two at times. And with the holidays coming on it is hard to keep the fingers out of the cookie dough! Life is to short to not take in a bit of the sweeter things in life! Drinking a couple of mugs of hot decaf coffee with heavy cream and Splenda in the morning cures the need for sweets also. The rest of the day is water or decaf green tea. And I take my vitamins also. My advice with a low carb diet is to eat healthy! Mix it up, and learn new recipes or try making up your own!

Listen, I have learned to listen to my husband. If he says I look great, than I know he means it. Try to avoid the infamous question "Does this make me look fat?" or "How do I look?". Then, when your husband tells you you by himself, (and he will) you know he means it and is sincere. I ask my hubby all the time if I am pretty enough to be his wife, and he of course tells me "Too pretty!" I know as all of us women do that sometimes men seem superficial and idiotic when it comes to sex, but I truely believe that if a man loves you, and it seems to be your man does, than you should trust him with your feelings and enjoy all the perks of marriage! Take care and I absolutely Love the poem in your signature. It is called Time Tested Beauty Tips and it is written by Sam Levenson. Audrey Hepburn was just wonderful, wasn't she?
