I am 31 year old female who has struggled with weight for a long time. I have tried so many diets before and even though I lost the weight it always crept back quicker than it took to shed it off. Since joining, I have a completely different idea about making healthy choices and going on a diet. I will not be trying on any diet from now on, I will just change my eating habits and pay attention to my body. Only eat when I am hungry and eat right. I am truly thankful for this site. I think it is really teaching me how to be honest about my eating habits and I hope I can change them for the rest of my life.

shrinking intestines!?!?
I challenged myself today. I made vegetable moussaka and served a huge portion for myself, believe me, two weeks ago I would have finished it. I only ate a half of it, my stomach was so full I couldn't believe it. I am so happy that my body is responding to portion control. Smile Laughing

help and advice someone please!!!
I suppose I am on the right track, I am trying to keep my calories to 1200, though on two occasions I have exceeded by 5%. I am really thankful for the responses, they have helped me put a lot of things into perspective and avoid starving my body. My only form of exercise is walking ten minutes each way to the tube station and twice a week to the supermarket which is about 20 minutes away.

Thank you all so much for the responses. I am not following any plan, just decided to just down on calories. I am eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and meat and I have cut down on rice, pasta, bread and when I do eat them I eat one serving spoon. I will look up the Atkins plan. perhaps it may just be what I need. I think 36lbs is about 15 kg, about a 1/3 of what I need to loose.

help and advice someone please!!!
I started on a low calorie diet last week Thursday, I weigh 110 and I aim to lose 45kg, hopefully by the end of the year. I noticed that since I started the diet, I have consumed more carbs than recommended for weight loss and that was mainly from bananas and apples but after reading up I realised they should fine. So yesterday I strived to eat less carbs but my caloric intake was higher than my daily target. I have set my daily calorie intake to 1200. But yesterday after dinner, which was a Greek salad and pork belly slices, I went to bed craving carbs, but I had had a wrap for lunch. So I am struggling to find a balance. I would greatly appreciate help on this matter. I really want to lose weight, but I don't want to starve myself in the process.
