I am 63 years old and work as a site manager for a property management company. I am in charge of two apartment complexes that are HUD Section 8 subsidy housing--one in Bend, Oregon and one in Prineville, Oregon. They keep me hopping.

I lost 50 pounds on the South Beach Diet in 6 months about 6 years ago and have been unable to lose any more. I had maintained my weight loss until January of 2008 when I gained 15 pounds and panicked. I then lost about 12 of those pounds. Then I started exercising, counting calories and working HARD on weight loss project and did not lose ANY weight in 2 months. I was so depressed I gave up.

I am now back up to 223 (which is still 25 below my highest ever weight) and am determined to lose the weight--and then some--to get down to my goal weight. Am following the Atkins diet and am just now getting started on it.
