Hi Everybody.

You know the saying "'Youth' is wasted on the young"? How true that is!! I was never very athletic in my youth (sports and I didn't agree-I was too awkward and embarrassed to try) but I never worried about what I ate because I was naturally skinny. Now, I want to be more active, but I'm out of shape and don't have the energy. How frustrating and depressing. I want to change that.

Editing a recipe in my cookbook
I don't know if this helps. I always make recipes for myself in "My cook book" and I don't share them so they are always listed as "pending". (This may be important later).

Anyway, From the home page, If you click the link "My Cook Book" (right side column) and then click on the recipe you want it will bring up a stylized version of your recipe. In a pink box to the left that says "Recipe is pending" it also has a link that says "Edit this recipe". Clicking on this will bring you back to the page you created the recipe. Make your changes, adjust servings, add photo, etc and then save again.
(You may not see things like servings adjust immediately on the nutrition info to the right but it will change after saving.)

Now, with that said. This may only work if your recipes are "pending". I don't know if editing is still possible after they have been 'published' because I haven't shared mine. I just use them for my own calculations. I hope this helps. Cheers!

PS. If you don't want to have your recipe published by FS, don't check the box on the bottom that says "Share"

I’m Not Feeling Welcome Here
I wouldn't mind knowing the methodology they use if you find something helpful. I've looked into a few different wt loss/tracking sites and apps and they all seem to have confusing or annoying aspects to them. I started on FS with a friend years ago and keep coming back to it when I get frustrated with myself. I'm still trying to sort all the workings out (it has it's limitations). I like the community though. and yes, I put everything of mine public, which I don't do anywhere else, just to hold myself accountable. I get more feedback that way. Personally I want to follow people that are working hard and moving forward so I'm changing who I follow off and on until I find a good group that inspires each other.
