24 and finally getting my life on track.

Before using fatsecret.com, I was 170 pounds. By the time I signed up for this site, I've lost 10 pounds... lost motivation and plateaued more or less. Lost motivation again... (argh!)

But now, I'm back on track with a new attitude and way of thinking, all thanks to my doctor and a book recommendation from Jen of www.priorfatgirl.com. The book is called The Complete Beck Diet. It has completely changed my approach to dieting, and I KNOW I will lose this weight healthfully and safely and more importantly, permanently.

Scales...accuracy..etc.
I have a digital scale that is accurate to the .2 of a pound. I also take measurements. I find measuring myself is a better gauge than the scale.

7000 calories.
1 lbs a week is 3500. You would need a 1000 calorie deficit each day through diet and exercise to obtain that goal.

Didn't get enough of my water intake today
I like putting fresh fruit in my water, like sliced oranges and lemons, berries or cucumber. It's all natural. Just slice the fruit, add water, and let it sit for a little bit. It's flavored and not too sweet and easy on the waistline Smile

COFFEE
Sorry to say it, but eff American coffee!
If you want to go for a low-cal coffee drink, I highly recommend Vietnamese iced coffee (Cafe sua da). It's about 135-140 for 16 oz. It's just 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and espresso over ice. It's extremely potent. It's not too bitter not too sweet. The best thing, most Viet coffee shops sell it for less than $2.
