My name is Lizzie and I am 27 years old. I Thought I had a weight problem as a kid, turns out I did not. Over the last five years I have gained 110lbs. Since September 2008 I have been actively counting calories and maintaining a 1200 calorie a day lifestyle. Not until April did I start incorporating exercise into my diet. So far I have lost 50lbs. I have set small goals along the way to my overall goal whichis 130lbs. But in this moment in time my goal is 175lbs. I have a great career and I am continuing my education.

I live in the land of thin people so I decided enough was enough and it was time to become one of them. Used to be skinny though I never appreciated it. Now I am earning it back with hard work and lots of self-control

Their calculations are a little high, however I am losing an average of about 8lbs per month, so if you look over a period of time fatsecrets calculations are not too far off. Plus when I calculated my calories against my BMR I should have only lost 2lbs for the whole month when I really lost 8lbs. Plus frequent eating helps burn food faster. I eat every three hours and it seems to be working.

I hate weighing myself weekly. I would rather do it monthly but if I don't it looks like I have not progressed, as far as this site is concerned.
