Had a follow-up appointment with the orthopedist today. Still can't put any weight on my foot, and it is still bruised and swollen - 6 weeks later. He took x-rays and MRI again, just to see if something else showed up. Nope, still nothing. It just is taking forever to heal.
Continuing on anti-inflammatory, icing, and elevating. Still on the scooter. I start physical therapy next week, 2-3 times/week. He's thinking 6 weeks, but is hesitant to make any firm estimate, given how my foot is just being weird. He's hoping that within a couple of weeks, I can try to walk. Won't go back to Orangetheory until after PT is done, but hoping I can get into the pool sooner.

Well...finally saw an orthopedist about my foot. Best case scenario, given the circumstances. Nothing is broken (though he honestly has no clue how I did the damage I did, without breaking anything), and I won't need surgery. However, I have another 2 weeks minimum on my scooter (after having been on it over 4 weeks). Foot and ankle are too damaged to put in a cast or boot yet (I didn't know that was a thing...). I'm on an anti-inflammatory to try to get the swelling down, then we'll re-evaluate in two weeks whether I can need a cast, or possibly can try a boot. I'll definitely need PT as well, though again, can't start yet due to too much damage. Nerves are starting to work again, and it HURTS! But, guess that's a good sign.
I did get a doctor's note stating all of this, as well as saying that it could be awhile before I can workout again (2-3 months, most likely, if not longer. Possibly next year before running again). I went to my Orangetheory studio to let them know. I was so sad about it! I miss it. Three of the coaches were there, so it was really great to see them again. But I miss it. Ugh!!! But for now, just need to focus on healing.

Foot ended up being way worse than I thought. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks, and I still can't put any weight on my foot! Still bruised and swollen. I've been using a scooter to get around. Got a boot today, but still can't walk with it on. So, continuing with the scooter. I've been working out at home, using dumbbells for upper body and abs workouts, though not as often as I used to, and not as heavy of a weight as I was doing. I have NO idea when I'll be able to go back to workout (at Orangetheory, at least), and it's driving me nuts! I usually workout 5 times a week (doing both weights and cardio), so I'm going a little stir crazy. Ugh. No ETA on when the foot will be healed, either. Basically, just taking it a day at a time.

Well, poop. Yesterday, a curb came up and grabbed my foot while I was trying to step down to the street. My foot lost. Hoping it's just a really bad sprain, but did go to the doctor to get it x-rayed. Waiting on results. In the meantime, I'm on crutches (can't put any weight on it), icing it, elevating it, and wearing an ankle brace (the top part of my foot got the worst of it, though).
Even if it's "just" a sprain - no Orangetheory workouts for 6 weeks! I don't know what I'm going to do with myself! I froze my membership today, but hoping to be able to start again at the beginning of March. Even when I do start back, I have to powerwalk instead of running, and no jumping, for at least a little bit. In a week, I can try swimming (again, if nothing worse than a sprain). Hopefully that works.
So now, I'm at work. Co-workers are getting me water, coffee, everything I need. I don't like being inactive! But crutches hurt. On the plus side - I'm definitely getting an upper body workout preventing the crutches from digging into my underarms.
