I have the exact same problem, last Sunday my husband brought home some left over cupcakes from the Fourth of July celebration...He brought 15 "for the kids", well, I ended up eating 8 of them. I would have eaten the rest, but I put them in the trash for good before "the kids" ate them all. What I do is try not to have any sweets at home, when I go shopping I don't get anything that will be a temptation. If it's there I'll eat it and I'll eat it all! Now, when the cravings get too bad I do get some "hostess 100 calorie cakes" or mini-bagesl and eat them will jell-o sugar free pudding. This is less than 200 calories when you put it together, fills me up, satisfies my cravings and it is definitely better than the 1,500 calories I packed with the cupcakes...
