I am so glad I found this site, as I have used other sites and they just didn't sit well with me. Today is day 3 of my diet venture and I am going to be honest, I feel like pure hell. Monday, I had about 1200 calories and while I went by the "books", it was tough. I went into this with so much motivation and by Tuesday I felt like I couldn't function. My husband, kids, mom and myself went walking at the park, after a mile I physically couldn't go any further. Take note, before dieting I could walk the trails at the park 3 or 4 times within 30 to 45 minutes, even adding a good 15 minutes of jogging. So this morning I had some oatmeal which kept me pretty content until lunch. Then when I got home my husband had made us some pretty tasty chicken tacos on whole grain tortillas. According the the recipe book we could have three. I had my three and felt sick the rest of the night. I had broth for dinner. I really think cutting the calories so far down like we did really over did it for myself and my husband. I didn't give up though. After my "dinner" we got out in the yard and mowed the lawn, raked the dead weeds out from around the house, trimmed back the bushes, etc for about an hour. We worked non stop and while I know that isn't considered exercise as much as a walk on the park trails, it was all I could do. I haven't lost the motivation, but I do want to feel normal again. Having no energy and feeling lethargic are not good. So according to fat secret, if I take in 2500 calories per day, I could lose about a pound a week. While I'm not happy with that, and who would be, it will have to do. I plan to continue eating healthy and exercising, but hopefully taking in a few more calories will help with my energy levels.
