I am currently pregnant again and I guess a good goal weight would be not to gain more then 30 pounds but I doubt I will due to the fact that with the previous 2 kids I went from 120 to 100 pounds in the first trimester then from 100 to 130 pounds for the first time and the second time from 130 pounds to 120 pounds then up to 145 pounds all because of that wonderful morning noon and night sickness. :/ Luckily this times its not that bad but I still don't have much of an appetite.
I have 2 young kids and I work full time and go to school part time.
I believe in a healthy diet, my mother taught us from a very young age to eat whole fresh foods, but also everything in moderation. The only thing she really "banned" was white flours and sugars because they were empty calories. I, especially for an American, have always naturally eaten rather healthy because of this but now that I have kids I really want to set a good example of not obsessing about calories (I never have) but rather stressing the importance of a balanced diet from real food. We eat almost no processed foods and I (rather unsuccessfully) have tried to bake all of our bread and make our pasta's. I would like a vitamix since my 18 month old is very picky and lives pretty much solely off hummus and avocados and beans and I could make my own hummus with a vitamix.
I joined this site more for workout tips. I have always been active but now I want to get back in shape. Pre kids I was a size 2 and now I am a size 6.
