I am on Atkins because I completely stalled on Weight Watchers. I know Atkins works, so I'm going to try to drop at least 15 pounds before going off Induction. I normally follow a low-carb diet but in the last couple of years, I started following the low fat routine, thinking it would really help me get my blood pressure down. The result was about a 10 pound weight gain and my blood sugar started spiking because my cravings for carbs went crazy. Back to Atkins.

How is this possible?
be sure to drink enough water. I remember hearing about the waterfall effect from Nutrisystem years ago. Drink more water, get rid of more water. It takes about 3 days of drinking lots of it though.

How is this possible?
Brayhill - I think it's water gain to recover the damage done to muscles and joints, nerves, etc. When you work out hard, there's damage. It sounds like you should have lost at least 10 pounds by now with all that you're doing. It takes a long time to gain 10 pounds of muscle so I don't think that's it. I'm sticking with the water theory and it will probably all come off at once when it does.
