Good morning!

It's a grey, somewhat wet day here in Denmark. I slept late - all the way to 7 am - and will more or less just lay low today.

It's a national holiday in Denmark, so everything is closed, and we're done working for the week. Nice!

Wife and I have nothing planned. We're basically gonna catch up on tv shows.

This, of course, means less moving around, and I will have to watch what I am doing on the calorie intake. Because of this, I decided to make today a Low Cal Day.

The hardest thing about Low Cal Days is to NOT get started on "bad" foods. In the term of Low Cal Days, one of the keys is to not have too many foods that makes you want to eat more. The other is to not get into situations where you normally snack. Occupy yourself instead.

I'm getting pretty good at NOT doing mindless snacking, but I'm not GREAT at avoiding it. Typically, it happens when I just have a little, when I watch tv, or when I'm bored.

So the trick today is to NOT start at all. I will simply just have water, water, water. No snacks. Just the main courses - breakfast, lunch, dinner. If I have room left after dinner, I'll evaluate what I'd like to do with it.

I had my famous Low Cal soup for breakfast, and I am planning on having another one for lunch. Wife and I usually eat different for these meals, so it really doesn't affect her what I choose to eat. Dinner is different, though. We eat together for dinner as most families, so it's more important that we can have a decent meal then.

When I do it this way, I still have 480 calories to spend on dinner. That should be easy.

I will be going out for my walk today. There is no gym for me today, it's my resting day (and I don't really think my body would be happy if I went anyways), but I do want to more around some today.

I do NOT wanna just sit all day. On a regular Thursday, I'd be going for my walk, and then spend 9 hours standing up at work. I need to at least burn SOME of the calories I normally would.

Maybe I should spend some time on my stationary bike? It's been a while. I'll consider it.

...

I also gotta practice some new songs for Burnin' Live!

Wife and I were watching the movie Zombieland (and we're REALLY hoping that the show will take flight - the pilot was AWESOME!), and there was a great song during the end credits. It's dead easy to play, but it fits the bands attitude and is an AWESOME rocker. It's a little more indie, but very high energy.

This is Jack White's band The Raconteurs. Check it out:

I'd say that we're working hard to learn this, but truth is that it took about 15 minutes! :)

It's awesome to play though, so much fun, and it TOTALLY fits the sound of my new bass! This is the perfect song to bring out a crazy, distorted bass line. Very rock and roll.

...

We keep getting good feedback from people who saw us live last week, and from people who've seen the
live video on YouTube.

People are starting to talk about wanting more live performances, and I hope some of that will become reality soon.

We're gonna have to expand the setlist though, as we don't have enough to do a full concert just yet. We've decided to focus on a line of songs that are good, fun, hard rock - and that are easy to learn. That way we can quickly expand the setlist with popular songs (stuff like Smoke On The Water, We're Not Gonna Take It, Highway To Hell and Cum On Feel The Noize) from the 70's and 80's, and then as we go on add more complicated stuff to feed our minds and challenge our abilities along the way. Songs like Highway Star and other Deep Purple stuff comes to mind. Maybe something from Rush? Not sure that I'm good enough to emulate Geddy Lee, though. :)

Anyways, I'm babbling.

...

The weight is down today, but not further than 82.6 kilos. It's fine. It's a good weigh-in, especially after the Tuesday Binge. I needed that, and it felt good, and I am past it and moving on. I'm not gonna do anything to compensate for it, nothing I wouldn't do anyways. Today's Low Cal Day is simply because I feel like my body is kindly asking for it. I get that now and then, and I am gonna listen to it and grant its wish.

Besides, I am in no rush to change my weight to anything but where I am. I know I will probably generally end up being a little lighter if I keep going with my current activity/calorie intake level, but there's no hurry. What happens, happens.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- 4 day weekend! Yay!
- Focus on my food. 100%.
- Getting a chance to play more music today. I am looking forward to it.
- Redesigning my bass sound last night. I love the way it sounds. Even more than before!
- Spending four days with Wife.

Low Cal Day, here I come. I'm gonna conquer you, and dominate you! :)
Life is good!

EDIT:
Stationary bike ride done! 100 minutes on the heaviest setting (which isn't a WHOLE lot, but still...). I haven't biked in a LONG time, and I know that my endurance isn't what it could be, so I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. The last ten minutes were hard, though, but I managed.
Now I just need to do my walk - that's coming up after lunch. :)
END OF EDIT.

2nd EDIT:
Walk is done. It's AMAZING weather now - so nice that I had to take off my jacket to simply be in my shirt (well, and pants and shoes!)! I'm glad my thin wind breaker jacket is so small that it could be folded up and put in my back pocket. Life is good!

Good morning, Friends!

Whew. Yesterday was a weird day.

I stayed home from work, just exhausted - and feeling kinda strange. I think it was a mess of a lot of things, just good old fashioned wear and tear.

First of all, I had just gone through the busiest ten days in my life. Work is a little stressful, and starting working at the gym, along with jam nights and fun until late at night just did me in.

On top of that, we have a cat in heat (if anyone wants to borrow her for a week, let me know!), and I didn't get enough sleep.

This combined with the fact that I had 4 Low Cal Days while doing all this, probably caused it.

I didn't intend on having 4 Low Cal Days - it just happened.

So, realizing all this, I simply pulled a day out of the calendar, and didn't count a single calorie yesterday. I just enjoyed the day.

I started off eating reasonably well, but ended up binging on stupid stuff - ice cream and cake. And as much as it was deliscious, it was a dumb move.

My body, however, is happy today. Maybe I did need it. Maybe I did need a day off from it all. I don't know. I feel better, and I am on track again today, as I am supposed to be. I have no intention of doing anything that is NOT okay today, tomorrow or any other day any time soon.

The weight is obviously up further today, at 83.3 kilos. It's nothing to worry about, but I feel it. I can tell that I'm not light on my feet as I like to be. I could tell at the gym that I had to work harder than usual. Not good.

Still, it'll be fixed in a few days. I just gotta do well.

I hope I will be doing a Low Cal Day on Sunday, as the next one. This brings me back on schedule, and that'll have to do.

I tend to want to do MORE, but it really isn't necessary, and I probably shouldn't do MORE in the first place. It hard enough getting the needed calories as it is.

So, today is catch up day at work. I have a ton of paper work that I need to do, and I'm gonna dedicate to that.

Tomorrow is a national holiday, so there will be no work. Also, the Jobcenter is closed on Friday, so I don't need to go in unless I'd like to. I might. We'll see. Also, I might not. LOL. It depends on my mood.

...

My weight loss class is going amazingly well. The group - 8 people - lost 6 kilos this last week. Not bad at all. They now have a total loss of 16 kilos in 4 weeks. The goal is 50 kilos in 13. They're well on their way.

I am seriously considering opening another class. There is pretty high demand now - more and more people are talking about it, and more and more people want to start up. I have 6 people on my "waiting list", and I think I can make it all fit into two teams of 7 or 8. It's PERFECT.

...

I get a lot of compliments on my looks these days. It's interesting, as I don't really change weight - but I think my look is changing significantly. I can definitely see and feel a change in my muscles. I look a lot more FIT than I have ever done before. I'm starting to really have that "V" shape, that I never thought I should ever have. I can tell that I am stronger and have a lot more stamina than ever before. It's incredible. Such an awesome feeling. I truly feel that I can conquer the world. This probably is also a reason that I had to give in yesterday. I probably bit off more than I could chew. Also literally. :)

Another big change in looks is of course that I don't wear glasses any more. I like the contacts, at least this far. I have had them for about a week now, and they don't really give me any issues, other than maybe watching TV.

I have bi-focal lenses, and there will always be some compromises regarding how great my eye sight will be at different distances. Right now I feel that I see just fine at close-ups like my phone and computer, and far away. However, watching TV is kinda blurry - and this bothers me. I am very particular with picture quality, and I would hate to lose this. This can, however, be solved with the addition of TV glasses, if I can't get used to it. Again, we'll see.

...
Today, I'm thankful for:
- Feeling better.
- Being on track, and doing well.
- Wife being a sweetheart yesterday.
- NOT the cat. :/
- Two days (well, maybe one) off from work.

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning!

Short little journal today. I feel kinda funky for some reason, so I am not too much in the mood to write, but I still wanna do my journal.

It feels like the blood is kinda rushing from my head easily, and I kinda feel like a shadow of myself today. Weird.

I had enough to eat yesterday, ending up around 2000 calories - well balanced, good combination of proteins, etc. so I am pretty sure that's not it.

On factor that definitely plays is that I haven't slept well a few nights. The cat is in heat and she is a ROYAL pain in the... Geeez. If anyone want to borrow a cat for about a week, just let me know.

Still, being behind on my sleep shouldn't make me feel like this. Been there so many times, and I don't think this is it.

It's not the contacts either, I think. I am wearing them right now and they actually feel great.

LOL - I had an issue yesterday. I felt that they were really messing with my eye sight. I felt that everything bare more blurry than what I'm used to, and at some point I thought that maybe I had switched them.

Trying to take them out, I realized (after a while of poking my left eye to grab the lens) that it was simply missing. I wonder when it came out.

Anyways, the lens was gone and I had to go get another one.

I have a follow-up on the lenses today. I will ask if I can have a spare, just in case this happens again.

...

I am up in weight today, by about a kilo. That's okay. It's a great weigh-in, and in maintenance I don't really care about the day to day number, as long as I feel great, and as long as I am light on my feet. I think the feet will be a future indicator of how I'm doing. It's easy to tell from that how I feel, I think.

I am not sure I will be taking my walk today, if I keep feeling weird. I don't want to end up miles from home and get sicker. No fun.

There is no gym this morning - that's probably a good thing.

...

Anyways, I better get going again. Hopefully, I will feel better for tomorrow's journal and be a little more cheerful.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- A great day yesterday. Great - REALLY great, actually - weight loss class.

Good day, dear friends!

It's been a crazy busy morning, and it's not until now - at 9:30 am - that I get to write my journal. I wanted to do it earlier, but it just didn't happen.

I didn't sleep well at all. Kitty Cat is in heat, and kept everyone awake all night. Does anyone want to borrow a cat for week? Let me know.

I got up on time, and had breakfast with wife. My new workout schedule leaves almost no idle time in the mornings, so after wife left I only had about 15 minutes before I had to go for my walk, thus no journal.

Walk is done, and after that gym. Done. It's a great feeling of accomplishment to have it all done, but I am BEAT today. I think last week's busy schedule is finally catching up to me. I have one more day - today - like this, then things will calm down some, fortunately.

Tonight, after work, I am teaching my weight loss class. I am now pretty sure I need to open a new time slot for the class, and have two going. It's good money, and fun to do, and it seems there are more and more people interested in it. I love it!

The weight, you ask? It's coming down again. I gained an incredible 7 lbs on the day we went out to Copenhagen and the concert with Sort Sol. It was a super fun day, but heavy on the food. Ice Cream, Indian Buffet, beers! What a fun day.

Of course, I am so low in my calories in general that it wasn't an issue, and the weight is easily coming off again. I am down 4 lbs since yesterday alone.

Today I am 1 lb higher than my "new low" from Friday. So it's all good.

I really wanna stay at this weight. It's a great place to be. I eat what I want and feel like, and I can comfortably tell when my body is asking for the low calorie days.

It's getting very easy, actually. I can "feel" it in the morning, if today is the day to do one, and then I just go for it. I know what I can eat, and I know the little tricks to adjust my foods to stay within 600 calories.

I never expected 600 calorie days to be THIS easy. I tend to do more of then than I have to, simply because my body is asking for it, and sometimes I end up having one without even trying, and I see towards the afternoon that if I just do a minor adjustment to my plan, then it'll be a Low Cal Day.

...

I finally got to try out my new bass! It sounds frickin' AWESOME! It has just the sound I have been missing.

I love my Fender Jazz Bass, it is SO good for so many thing - probably the most versatile bass in the world if you ask me, but on occasion I just need "something else" in my bass tone. I need it to sound a little less polished and a little more road word. This one does that perfectly. It sounds like a beast, and it is SO FUN to play. I just wish it had 5 strings, not 4, but what can I do? It's still fun.

I keep coming back to the video I posted yesterday. I can't believe how fun it is to watch, and how good the music plays. Sure, there are a few mistakes and stuff, but it's live, it's fun, it's loud, and what you're rockin' on the stage, there are so many other things to pay attention to apart from the music. I'm pretty happy with out accomplishments.

Just for the hell of it, I'll share it again. If you haven't watched it, then go do it! :)

I hope you like it. The band if called Burnin' Live! If you're further interested, go "LIKE" us on Facebook. :)

...

Today, I am thankful for:
- GORGEOUS weather. I need to put on a thinner jacket now.
- Morning Coffee.
- NOT the cat. :/ Damn cat.
- Wife
- New bass sounding AWESOME!
- Our fun video! Did you watch it yet? :)
- More clients interested in my classes!

Happy Monday! Life is good!

Good morning!

Today is the day you get to see my band Burnin' Live! perform in concert. The video is READY! More on that in a moment.

...

Yesterday was another busy day in Kingkeld's hectic week.

I was at the gym most of the day, this was the first time I was running the shop 100% on my own.

It went without a hitch, absolutely no issues.

I did see though, that is MASSIVELY pays off to be there when it comes to promoting my classes. I have 4(!) potential customers just from chit-chatting. I am seriously considering opening up class number two. There is simply not gonna be room for everyone in one class. How amazing is that?

...

The extra weight from Indulgence Day friday is slowly coming off. I can't believe I gained 7 lbs from one day to the next. Obviously, it's not fat, but still.

I am two lbs down already, and I know the rest if off again in a few days, no problem.

...

I bought a new bass! Well, technically, it's an old one - and that just makes it even cooler.

This is a fun bass - it's from 1981, and built in Czekoslovakia. This is a copy of a famous Gibson bass, and they called it a "disco bass" by name. Most of the rockers back then bought it because it was cheap and pretty good to play, but hated the name, so many of them have the word "disco" scratched out - as does mine - but that's okay. I'd prefer to have on there though, as it's a fun little thing.

The bass itself is super cool looking (see pic below), and suprisingly playable. I haven't heard it on my amps just yet, but I will bring it to rehearsal today to set it all up. I'm all pumped to do this. nothing beats messing with new gear!

...

So, speaking of music - I finished the video!

I'm not really sure if we are gonne put it for general admission on Youtube - there are a little too many hiccups for my taste - but I thought I'd share it with you guys regardless. I always talk about my band and our music, and I want those of you interested in it to hear what we are doing.

So, here it is:

...

Other than that, it's a normal day at the King's Castle. I'll be having breakfast in a bit, watch a little tv, then off for my walk and gym.

Then music with the guys and home for dinner. And that's pretty much that day spent.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- A drop in weight.
- Morning coffee.
- A FUN day ahead of me.
- New bass! Yay!

Happy Sunday! Life is good!
