Unable to get into KETOSIS after 5+ days HELP!!
Hi ,
I have been trying to follow a keto diet for more than 5 days (probably 7-9 days low carb) and I dont see any symptoms of ketosis.
Can someone please help where I am going wrong.
Here is how my diet looks like
Day1
breakfast : scrambled eggs with cheese and light sausage, 2 strips of bacon (I pick this up from a deli)
lunch: Salad [spinach, lettuce, few cherry tomatoes, steamed fish (its pretty oily , not sure its oil from fish)
Dinner: crab salad (little crab and lettuce etc)
Day2
breakfast : scrambled eggs with cheese and light sausage, 2 strips of bacon (I pick this up from a deli)
lunch: Salad [spinach, lettuce, few cherry tomatoes, steamed fish (its pretty oily , not sure its oil from fish)
Dinner: chicken and lamb kebab (grilled), fish
Drinks: 2 whiskey neat
Day 3
breakfast : scrambled eggs with cheese a
lunch: half pound burger patty, few bites of coleslaw salad
coffee: petes coffee with milk (half and half) no sugar
Dinner: chicken , avocado, sourcream, spicy sauces .. mexican plate
Day4
breakfast : scrambled eggs with cheese , 2 bacon strips
lunch: omlette - vegge
coffee: petes coffee with milk (half and half) no sugar
Dinner: rotessari chicken
Day5
breakfast : scrambled eggs with cheese and light sausage, 2 strips of bacon (I pick this up from a deli)
lunch: Salad with ahi fish and vinegrrate heavy dressing
Dinner: panda express (veggies and teriyaki chicken)
Light Gym - weight training - 30 mins
Day6
breakfast : scrambled eggs with cheese and light sausage, 2 strips of bacon (I pick this up from a deli)
lunch: Salad [spinach, lettuce, few cherry tomatoes, steamed fish (its pretty oily , not sure its oil from fish)
Dinner: salad bowl, chicken , sour cream, guacamole (chipotle)
Even 3-4 days prior to these days I have been mostly eating salad and meat/fish without the guacomole , cheese etc. Then I read about ketosis and added some fat to the diet.
As you can see, the carb is very low (no bread, wheat, grains etc)
Every day I walk around 1.5 miles.
Can anyone suggest how I can change the diet , since I dont have any symptom of ketosis. For initial few days I was feeling more attentive and light but when I added fat to the diet I do feel sleepish after 6 pm.
