Hi everyone... My name is Karen. I am trying something new. I have never been on a diet or tried to lose weight. I have always been pretty comfortable and accepting of my shape. Then my mother (57 and same shape "round"
passed away in May and my 7 year old son looked at me and asked if I was going to die too because a kid told him fat people die easier. This is when I took a long look in the mirror and decided I needed to make a change for myself and my children. It has taken me 2 months to research and pick a diet plan. Not sure what any of them are all about but my work offers weight watchers so I joined. Our first session was July 31st. I have had one weekly weigh in and lost 9 pounds. I guessed I am doing what I am supposed to because I am losing.. but wanted to find a support area for home as well as work. I am starting on this journey with 184 pounds to lose. And a great long life with my wonderful husband and 2 great kids to gain.
