It looks like it is going to be another loverly day; serious heat is forecast for the end of the week so going to enjoy today!
I seem to have gotten off track and have not been walking since I returned from my latest jaunt. Plan to get out this morning while it is still cooler.
Dear husband (DH) is continuing to recover from his surgery, with only some minor discomfort at the incision site. Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts!!
I have found that I have to plan my meals ahead of time; if I don't, things go to heck pretty quickly.
I have been struggling with some internal voices lately - - the ones that say not so nice things to myself. I know I need to silence them and say only positive things to myself but the habits of a lifetime are deeply ingrained.... not giving up however. No one said any of this journey to better health would be easy.

Did not get in as much walking as I wanted this past week; well, I was mostly on the road, traveling. No excuse, however, for the unplanned snacks and bites I had over the course of this week. Fortunately, the times I DID plan balanced out the unplanned. That is NOT going to help me long term. I resolve to fully plan my WOE this next week and get in my walking. If it is to be, it is up to me!
Onward!

Attended my aunt's 90th birthday bash last Saturday evening in Salt Lake City. She is amazing. She gets up every morning, works in her yard and garden for a bit after breakfast. She volunteers three afternoons a week at the library and is active in her church. She takes the bus to the library but drives to church as there isn't a direct bus to it. She does Facebook and uses her computer daily. She is so here in the moment and time. She is my hero! I certainly do hope I can be half the woman she is at her age.
