Coffee Break?
So, I've been an avid coffee drinker since I was about 15. I'm talking like over half a pot each morning.

After reading a study saying that caffeine can make some people's bodies "insulin resistant" I have cut down to one cup a day (hey, it's only been a week & a half. *pats herself on back*)

& I've lost a pound! Ok, these last couple of weeks have not been typical. I'm working loads of overtime & upped my water intake, but I haven't been able to shed any weight at all.

So... maybe that can help you guys too. I had never ever thought that caffeine could hurt weight loss since it is there to give you energy, but it looks like it can have some pretty weighty side effects!

I am on the pill (reclipsen) & have been for a while. I know the increased estrogen makes you retain more water, but I'm wondering- aside from that- if it's hindering my weight loss in other factors as well.

When I search online, I only find message boards with other women complaining about weight gain.

Now, I haven't GAINED any weight, but feel like I'm busting my butt (I work out pretty regularly) to maintain weight.

I guess what I'm asking is, is it possible to LOSE weight while on birth control? Does anyone know of any studies done on the matter?

...or am I just making excuses?
