I can see the inches coming off. The weight loss is slow- looks as if it might occasionally be 3-4 lbs a month now, usually less, but I am eating what I should and despite my laziness walking briskly on hilly country roads for 30 minutes a day. I never had a problem drinking 8 glasses of water, and I am avoiding weighing myself too often since I go up and down so much. I am going out for lobster tonight. If they don't have any, I will get King Crab legs. I am psyched because I know the restaurant and know that I will do fine. I always skip the butter sauce since a good steamed lobster doesn't need anything at all. I had originally hoped to have 50 lbs off t the year day. I don't think I will get to that point, but I plan to continue and not give up this time. So hooray for me. It should be much easier now that I have retired. My husband believes in physical activity and I told him there was a gym near our home on Long Island (we spend several months in our vacation home in the mountains) that has a pool and indoor walking track as well as loads of machines. If he and I join, we can push each other out the door. I think it will add structure to the day.

Finally, a drop in weight, typical for me. I will get on the scale and be ticked off because of no result in weeks, and then I get on a day or two later and it goes down. So I am less than a pound short of the 30 lb mark. I have plenty left, but it is going in the right direction, and for that, I am grateful. I didn't feel like walking today because it is warm and the terrain here is hilly and gravelly, but I plodded through with my husband for a 40 minute walk. That and ten minutes of easy gardening, light yard work, was my activity for the day. I am happy that I do not find it difficult making my husband something I dont eat. I also want to add that I am so happy NutriSystem has a My Way weekends off version. Also, they have frozen food. That frozen food is a godsend since most of it is pretty tasty. Since I pick my own food, I stick to favorites so I don't feel deprived. If I eat with my husband, which is easy to do depending on the meal, I just delay when my new food comes so I don't have too much leftover. I might have stuck with Nutrisystem if I had my choice of food the last time. I just hated their choices and gave the food away and switched diets. But this has always been the most successful for me. The hardest thing is trying not to eat out. I have only eaten out once since coming to my vacation home- that was for my husband's birthday. I am allowed to eat out, but i know there are ingredients I don;t know about and I will do better if I don't eat out much. However, a steamed lobster is a must this week.
