Hey Everyone!

I'm a 30 year old man. I have the strangest work schedule so getting in a workout can be challenging. I work four, twelve hour days with a 1 hour drive back one way to my work. I'm trying to prove that you can have a family, work, play, entertain, diet, and train. It's not an impossibility, just a matter of drive.

I've been studying martial arts nearly all of my life and its one of my greatest loves. I enjoy resistance training.... but I just HATE doing cardio, but I do it anyway.

At the end of the day though I look forward to curling up on the couch to a good movie or a book.

P.S. I'm 6'4" tall or 193 cm tall for you that use the metric system.

Yeah, heh...

He's definitely not the only one that does that. Has he tried keeping a journal at all? Depending on what he has access too right now there are tons of journals around. Everything from apps to a old notebook.

Maybe if he knows his limit and accurately tracks what hes is in-taking, he will realize some of the problem.

getting annoyed with calorie counting
Well just be aware that the fat around the midsection is extremely tough. Visceral fat has a bad habit of hanging around than other types. With a proper calorie deficit in your diet it will slowly go away.

Make sure that you are in-taking enough protein to support your new muscle growth as well. I don't know what your intake between carbs, fat, and protein are; but your protein should be high enough to support muscle growth.

For example if your in-taking 1200 calories I would thing you'd want to intake anywhere from 70-90 grams of protein.

I feel you on the numbers too... this site wants me to eat 3100 calories a day... i stay right around 2000 when I'm trying to cut fat off. So, it might be a little off.
