I am 45, married, have great hubby and fabulous 7 yr old. Wanted to dump 80# so I am just a "cool chick" to my son and not a "cool fat chick". Obviously I have been a little rough on my own self esteem! I also am a nurse practitioner and hard to encourage patients to be healthy when at 5'1" I weigh 227.5 :( A little hypocritical if you ask me...so here goes.

Cheat day or not??
Another thing to consider, is if you are dancing...you are also burning calories, not trying to justify intake of them one way or the other, just saying that if you dance a lot, you may balance some of the calories.

Looking for Tips to fight hunger
I agree planning snacks is very helpful, but when I have failed to do that...brushing teeth is sometimes just the right thing to switch off the "I want something" switch. I also enjoy EAS sports drinks, they are 11 oz, 17g protein, 110 cal, 1 gm carb. They help a lot too, just be sure to track em.
