I am a 29 year old, mother of two boys (12 and 4 years old). Since the birth of my last child, I haven't made time to exercise and kept ALL of my weight on. I work as a secretary in a mental health facility in Eastern North Carolina. As my job does not require much physical activity, it is difficult to not snack throughout the day. I am determined now more than ever to lose at least 30 pounds. Diabetes plaques my family and it's scary to think that just my being over weight my risk of developing the disease increases. I know that it will be diffcult but hopefully fatsecret will help me to count calories and eliminate unhealthy foods from my diet. I know that is going to be a lifestyle change and it will have to be ongoing, but I am up the challenge! It has become difficult for me to climb stairs or even walk briskly for a long distance without giving out of breathe. I am only 9 pounds away from 200 lbs and that is a wake up call for me!
