I am a research psychologist for Headquarters, Department of the Army. I am responsible for participating in Centralized Accident Investigations for Aviation and Ground accidents and for reviewing all preliminary accident information related to contributing factors resulting from human behaviors, attitudes, and human error. I routinely develop queries using the Army Safety Management Information System to identify trends and report findings to senior military and civilian leaders. I am a subject matter expert for the following areas: Alcohol/drug abuse/dependence, addictive behavioral patterns, suicide prevention, behavioral modification techniques, and a Certified Master Resiliency Trainer (Comprehensive Soldier Fitness program).
In my spare time, I am a part-time professor teaching both
undergraduate and graduate psychology courses. I am motivated to return to the gym and begin a diet program to achieve my goals.

Today, I went swimming at lunch for 40 minutes and walked for 2-miles (1 mile in the a.m. and 1 mile in the p.m.).
