well, after browsing the nutritional info from olive garden, all I want is to stay home lol!
te eggplant parm has 850 cals
the garden salad has 120 cals without dressing now the question is what dressing has no peppers in it?
the grilled chicken caesar salad has 850 cals.
too much, way too much for just a salad.
I found the linguine alla marinara has 550 cals, IF the sauce is guaranteed peppers-free, then I will eat that. I don't like the idea of eating wheat but at least with this dish I can have a glass of wine without going too high in the calories. I guess I can't make any plan before I know more about peppers. this allergy is a pain in the butt when eating out. wish me luck!

Blood Type Diet
20 November 2009
I maintained this week. Should I be happy not go gain? I don't know what's going on, but all I can do is keep working hard. I know I will be back to my "normal" weight, one day...
My period came yesterday, I think it can explain why the weight is still up, my belly is big and bloated. the bag of chips that my BF brought yesterday night could be another good reason... I didn't have any extra sweet all day, I was being a good girl (resisting temptations just before my period is not easy!) and he shows up with chips. oh well, today is another day!
the numbers this morning:
BF: 20.0%
TBW: 58.3%
saturday night we are eating out, for my Bf's mum birthday. she chose the restaurant, the Olive Garden. never been there yet and from what I've heard about it on here, I'm a little bit scared. I think I will browse the net today to find some nutritional information and make a plan. I don't like eating nothing or almost at a birthday dinner but with my weight up I can't allow myself to blow the day up with a 2000 calories meal. if you have any suggestion or tip about this restaurant, please feel free to share!!
My young french friend will be here shortly, I don't know what she will think about the DVD workouts. I'm not used to have somebody home and I don't want to stop exercising because of that. I won't tell her about the diet, the body fat etc... because everytime I go see my family and friends in France they look at me with a sad look, "oh sweetie you're too skinny! come on in I made a cake/bread/pie/beef with gravy/chicken in thick sauce/quiche with cream/potato with butter and cheese... it's good for you" and I know she won't understand what I'm trying to achieve.
I have to start planning for the No Wheat challenge, recipes and substitutes. not that I have wheat very often (it's not allowed for my blood type) but the ezekiel are made with sprouted wheat. it will be funny to do, a little challenging though...but that's the goal, right?

I started some research about body water. according to these 2 articles, what my scales said yesterday makes sense:
Wikipedia:
In medicine, body water is all of the water content of the human body. A significant fraction of the human body is water. Lean muscle tissue contains about 99% water by weight. Blood contains almost 50% water, body fat contains 1/2% water and bone has 97% water. Skin also contains much water.
The human body is about 60% water in adult males and 55% in adult females.
Bellaonline website:
Female Body Water Chart
Body Fat % Body Water %
4-20% 58-70%
21-29% 52-58%
30-32% 49-52%
33%+ 37-49%
what I understand is that most of water in the body is not contained in fat. which explains why when you build more muscles and decrease body fat, your body water percentage increases.
Here is what I found on Livestrong website:
Classification Men Women
Essential Fat 2-5% 10-13%
Athlete 6-13% 14-20%
Fitness 14-17% 21-24%
Average 18-24% 25-31%
Obese 25% and above 32% and above

well, that's a start. Now, I have to find a nutrition plan to help reduce body fat...
I like to focus on special things like this. everything I can learn about human body, nutrition, fitness etc... is another tool to be heathier! I know I'm a bit absessional, but I only have one body for my whole life, so I'd better take care of it...
Today I ran!!! well, I did not plan jogging in rubber boots, but I had to chase calves and to keep their pace I had to jogg, maybe 20 minutes. I'm not used to run "long distances", the place was not flat at all, and I'm a smoker... quite interesting experience! the first 5 minutes I thought I would die, after that it went pretty good...
I did my exercise tonight, the lower body part starts to be a little easier, so next week I'll do it twice. Oh! I know what I'm going to ask for Christmas: a set of weights! I use my BF's and they are not very easy to use, actually.
I indulge a little bit tonight. one extra tortilla with saskatoon jam, delicious but now I feel like I want more.... time to go to bed before I do something wrong...

Blood Type Diet

I tried the scale... twice!
I'm used to weigh when I get up, before breakfast, after bathroom. my weight then was 52.9 kgs. but the body fat/body water function did not work, there was an error message. made me a little upset! I went to have breakfast, and gave a call to the company, I wanted to send the scale back to them. I was talking to the lady, and I grabbed the scale, stepped on it, and it worked! but of course, my weight right after breakfast went up to 54.4 kgs (and I had the phone in my hand!)... it said on the handbook to weigh before meals. so here are the results:
chart for women from 10 to 39 years old(from the handbook):
body fat%: low: 14-20, healthy: 21-25, high: 26-31
body water%: low: <42, healthy: 42-52, high: >52
for me: 20.5% body fat, 57% body water. I guess the 2 cups of coffee I just drank didn't help to have a "normal" precentage of body water. I'm really happy about the body fat, I wish it's true!
well, the only thing I can say right now is: try again tomorrow!
