NIGHTTIME SNACKING
I adore snacking in the evening. There is nothing better than a coca-cola, a bag of Reeses and a movie (IMHO). Of course, that's a big no-no on pretty much any diet organized to lose weight (although I think a movie might be safe).

I've only been going for about a week and found this to be the biggest challenge for me - to the point of near tears! So, I went to the store and bought rice cakes, the caramel ones and low fat granola. The cakes are 50 calories each. Because they are dry and crumbly and I like the taste, they provide for the snack. Don't get me wrong, I still want more snacks after the fact, but at least this way I get some satisfaction. Also, it keeps me from snacking on celery sticks, which just seems horribly blasphemous to the gods of processed food.

I also budget for evening snacking in my calorie count, hoping to save 200 - 300 (or more) calories for this.

tendonitis and exercise
I get tendonitis in my wrists all the time. it's terribly painful and I can't imagine even considering walking on my hands during a flare-up. If you feel you must exercise, there are a lot of "sitting" exercises you could do while you get your diet on track and let your foot heal. Do a Google video search for them - or just follow this link which is the search.
