Let's see.. I'm 28, single, no kids, one cat. My goal is to lose 130 lbs by the time I turn 30 in two years. I've been overweight most of my life, and I don't want to spend the rest of my younger years fat. I want to get healthy and, let's face it, get hot. I am looking forward to conquering this fat thing once and for all, one pound at a time. I know that if I can do this, I can do anything.

Intuitive Eating: What kind of Eater Are You???
I would say that I am primarily an Emotional Eater but also somewhat of a Careful Eater. I'm supposed to eat 1700 calories a day, and I often only eat about 1500 calories. Sometimes it's conscious, sometimes it's not. At the same time, I found myself getting sad reading through a healthy choices dining out guide when I realized that most of the healthier choices at my favorite restaurants were definitely things that I wouldn't choose to eat. For me, eating out is an occasion. It's not something I do on a regular basis, so the idea that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the experience by eating what I want to eat is a bummer. I don't know if that's a natural reaction. I'm at the beginning of the weight loss journey, so maybe it is. Did anyone else ever have that reaction?

Walking shorts
LOL. Laurie Notaro calls it "Chub Rub". I usually just wear longer pants if I'm going to exercise to avoid it, but also bike shorts or SPANX under dresses will totally eliminate it. The Monistat product is a great idea. Does it wear off though?

Alternatives to butter/margarine on toast etc
I have to agree with pretty much all the spreads listed, but I also adore Nutella.

Pretty much ditto what everyone else has said. I think at one point or another every woman has dealt with some jerk who tries to cover up his own insecurities by trying to give you some. You said yourself that you always thought you were cute; don't let him take that away from you! He's not worth it! Fight back. You don't need to take his crap. If he's so hung up on your weight that he can't see you for who you are, you don't need him in your life. Love yourself and lose weight because you want to, not because someone else says you have to.
