Whew - I have to say the last several days have been so very busy and little 'me' time AT ALL. Me time is my gym/exercise time.

I was involved in some volunteer stuff on Thursday that sucked up my day and night. Friday and Saturday were an EMS Symposium. It was great and I learned a lot but it was also LONG.

Sunday I fasted until dinner time. I had some foods, at the Symposium, that I normally wouldn't have AND two drinks Friday night. So I needed a good fasting day. Sunday was spent working around the house and outside. Doing some cleaning and laundry, then outside working on the deck and topping a tree. Then working on a set of stairs off of the deck. Sunday evening, right after dinner, was an EMS call. So the day was busy all day.

Today my day....work (of course) then right after work I am going directly to the gym. After the gym I am helping at the museum. Okay that is my plan...I will not get derailed today. I also need to work on a couple of website updates, but that can be tonight after dinner.

This Sunday is the 12k that I am walking with my friend. Should be a fun day, and I REALLY hope we have good weather.

By the way when I joined a challenge it popped up and said your start weight will be 198.4# and I was like what the heck, and then realized that is me. Although, after the weekend I am pretty sure it is NOT me. So I am going to work hard and stay away from the scale for a few days.

Be kind to yourselves!!!

Whoop, Whoop! I am in Onederland!!! Of course, I realize with the bouncing of the scale I may TEMPORARILY bounce back out of Onederland, but then again maybe I won't. Either way I am in Onederland!!! I hit the gym yesterday and then worked on a staining project with my husband, here in town. Last week I tried on my skinny jeans that were too snug before (the ones I refer to as real skinny jeans) and they fit better than the last time! Not sure if I mentioned it but I did sign up for a Mud Run for my birthday (in July) and then my BFF asked me about WALKING Bloomsday with her. That is about 7-1/2 miles and it has been a few years since I did it but I did a walk/run the last time, but I will walk it with her. Maybe we can still beat my last time...hahaha...we will see, but likely not. It will be fun, though. It is on Cinco de Mayo so hopefully DH will be waiting for us somewhere and we can celebrate.

That is about it on this front. I need to get busy with work. I hope you all have a great day and remember to be kind to yourselves.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I know Easter is a blessing, but with this being the first one without my Mom today I just feel like, "I survived it without a total breakdown".

Saturday morning DH was still rather petulant, but he finally came around. However, he was still kinda crabby and seriously I do blame it on FMS. That is when folks start acting crazy, and he didn't disappoint! Saturday we worked outside around the yard. Doing some clean-up and planting bulbs. Then we went down to help my SIL with the final touches of her shop for the grand opening this week. Saturday night we went to Golden Corral and DH said, "I'm cheating. The doctor said I could at least every 10 days and I am". So fine. He ate a LOT of breads and dessert. Guess what his BS was 277 when we got home. He said it wasn't worth it; so that was actually good.

Sunday AM his waking BS has been around 82 or 90's and it was still somewhat elevated at 135. Also, he was very tired Sunday and took a long nap in the afternoon. Again he said it wasn't worth it. Sunday, was beautiful and we helped my SIL again and also started staining our deck. DH was still kinda snappy some and even she could see it, but again FMS.

Hopefully, he has a better work day and can get the issues at work resolved so he can get into a better mood. So all in all not a bad weekend, but I am still kinda resentful that he came home and spoiled Friday afternoon with is crappy attitude,. However, it is what it is and I move on. I had asked him about the gym and he said he might go but we didn't make it yesterday. In all honesty we were busy all day. So I don't feel too bad about it as we got exercise staining the deck and sweeping the brick patio and moving stuff around.

I believe this week is supposed to be beautiful so I am going to the gym after work and then have some volunteer stuff to work on..I may take my laptop up to my porch and sit and enjoy the sun for working on that.

Oh here is a vent. Being on Town Council for a town of 660 is not always easy. So if you live in a small town please appreciate the fact that no matter how large or small you cannot always make everyone happy. There are things that you cannot discuss to protect folks privacy (like past employees) and no matter what they say (true or untrue) you cannot 'set the record straight' if it means discussing their employment. So basically they can say whatever they want and all we can say is I cannot discuss this persons employment. Please use a little common sense and realize that most people that join the town council are doing so out of their love for community.

Everyone have a great week and be kind to yourselves and others.
