Since I can't delete journal entries...my start date was Jan 15, 2015. Starting weight 329 lbs. Went on a mix of Atkins Induction & Paleo. No grains, low carb, high fat, no sugar, etc. Initially lost weight. Blood sugars went down (I am type 2 diabetic). Hypertension normalized. Then weight stalled at 308 lbs on Feb 3. It didn't move for a month. Blood sugars started creeping back up. Suspected maybe too much protein?

Decided to go back on Fuhrman diet on March 5, so I could EAT again, so glad I did. I do have small portions of meat sometimes, and a couple of eggs here and there. But I don't crave meat anymore. I don't crave salt anymore either. And I don't have that awful severe cramping from the diuretic low carbing. Eating veggies all the time isn't that bad, in fact, I look forward to it! Loving the beans and salsa, and the beans don't send my blood sugars high at all. I feel freedom, finally, and the two biggest perks? My weight is coming off again and my acne is finally going away!

No one has all the answers and I find remaining flexible and trying new things is a good way to be healthy. Our bodies change all the time! So for now, this is working for me. One day at a time though :)

p.s. don't take my food entries to heart. Many times I get on here just to see nutrition info on different foods, doesn't mean that is what I'm eating.
