Being 5'11'' I've never been petite, but I've also never been this heavy before. When I came back from my vacation at the end of September and stepped on the scale, it really hit me hard - 87 kg! I never thought I'd ever weight this much. I was pretty shocked.

Ever since I started working from home 2 years ago, the weight has just started to sneak on, I guess. At first it wasn't too noticeable, but now it is. And my real problem is, I have a huge closet full of clothes ... and nothing fits anymore. I also don't have money to buy new stuff, so I guess if I don't want to run around in the same two pairs of pants forever, I'll just have to lose weight.

Also, having turned 40 this year, it doesn't get easier to lose the pounds, so I figured, if I don't do it now, I probably never will. We have a history of heart disease and diabetis in our family, and I don't really want to end up like that.

So I guess, I have a couple of pretty compelling reasons to lose weight, and no real excuse not to! I started here on Sep. 26th, and so far I've been doing real good. being acountable to other people seems to be the right way for me to get my butt in motion.

Oh, I'm single and I live in Berlin, Germany with the love of my live, my dog Loki.
