OK, here's my intro. As of today, Jan 17, 2013, I'm 41, have 4 kids, ages 7, twins 9, and 13. (twins have serious learning issues). I have Multiple Sclerosis. My husband has been in & out of the hospital due to PTSD after 21 years of military service. I have a history of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) since high school as well. We've lived in a lot of places, I'm originally from NJ/NYC and we landed in Maryland in 2006, and I really enjoy living here, in spite of getting PO'd about political stuff from time to time. ;)

As a full time caregiver for everyone else, I have not put the appropriate (and deserved) time into caring for my own health and medical issues up until now. I am working on changing that.

On a funny note, a licensed nutritionist, in speaking about my blood sugar issues & diet, LITERALLY told me that it was healthier for me to eat bacon than a carrot. She did qualify that and say that she hoped I would pick a lower fat option.. but I'll take the bacon, tyvm! LOL

Anyway, I just found our scale, and can finish signing up and get moving towards these weight loss goals. My initial plan is to get back to a healthier eating & watching portions, start up some gentle exercise, and keep track of things. Yeeha!! :)
