Anti depressant pills stopping weight loss
Melatonin works the same as ambien which also slows down your metabolism. None of these medicines are good for us even though the doctors hand them out like candies. Somebody has to keep the drug companies in business.

Thank you Ruthie, I know you are supposed to come off slowly but I there are some people that go cold turkey. I feel ok so far and I was not on such a high dosage. I will keep you informed. Thank you for your feed back

Anti depressant pills stopping weight loss
Hi, thanks for your reply. I have been off for 8 days now and I really do feel okay. I have been drinking plenty of water in hope to flush my system quicker and jogging a lot. I appreciate your concern, I don't feel as though I want the pill anymore. I am actually excited about not taking it. I will keep you posted.

Anti depressant pills stopping weight loss
I have been taking an anti-depressant pill (effexor 75mg) for about 18 months now. I know what I should eat and shouldn't eat and I exercise regularly. I just don't seem to be able to lose a pound. I googled my pill and was amazed to read that thousands of women who are taking these pills are in the same predicament as I am. The doctors tell us there are no side effects so we trust them. I went off the pill cold turkey even though they tell you not to. So far I feel okay. I put on 22 lbs over the 18 month period. So now I'm more depressed than I ever was. Apparantly the pill slows down your metabolism so much that your body can't burn the calories easily. I am hoping that I can get back to normal weight in a few months if I stick to healthy food and exercising.
